How do you replace a shower head pipe?
The showerhead pipe is copper and all the pipe threads broke off at showerhead. Can I add threads to the remaining pipe with a tool or something? If not, is the pipe sticking out of the wall easy to replace?
Yeah the shower head arm should unscrew from its socket. The threads are sealed on the other end though so you will need to use a set of Channel Lock pliers.
When installing the replacement use thread sealant – teflon tape will do. be sure to protect the finish of the new arm with a rag or some thin cardboard so you don’t mar the finish.
